James Gulliver Hancock (Australian)
James Gulliver Hancock is an internationally renowned illustrator. Known for his series which started with All the Buildings in New York. His latest collaboration with Lonely Planet has seen his love of cities come to life in these exploratory books for kids, including How Cities Work and How Airports Work. James has a passion for drawing and making information fun and accessible.
Leila Rudge (Australian)
Leila Rudge grew up in England and spent her first few years making mud pies with her five siblings. Not long after completing an Illustration Degree at Bath Spa University, she jumped on a plane to Australia in search of sunshine and the sea. Her illustrations are a mixture of pencil, paint, paper and any other bits and bobs found in her studio and she loves adding collage to her drawings. She has illustrated numerous picture books for children, and Let Me Sleep, Sheep! her most recent picture book was released March, 2019.
Cheryl Orsini (Australian)
Cheryl Orsini taught herself to draw as a little girl. She grew a little taller, studied Visual Communications at UTS and finally, when she could grow no more, she started illustrating children's books, magazines and decorating a great many peg dolls! Her books include Lucy’s Book, Caravan, The Fairy Dancers, Unicorn! and the new release, Mermaid!. Her work also regularly appears in magazines and exhibitions.
James Valentine (Australian)
James Valentine has presented Afternoons on ABC Radio Sydney for twenty years. At some point he's done something for all major media outlets. He's written a children's book series, JumpMan. He began life as a musician working for major Australian bands and performers such as Models, Jo Camilleri and Wendy Matthews.
