In 2015, Wiradjuri man and award-winning journalist Stan Grant made a splash with his book Talking to My Country. In his new landmark Quarterly Essay, he makes the case for a more capacious Australian Dream with a place for all Indigenous people that includes those flourishing on intellectual, cultural and sporting fields, as well as those in detention or living in the shadows. Stan Grant is a Wiradjuri man. He has worked for the ABC, SBS, CNN, the Seven Network and SKY News. Stan published his bestselling memoir Talking to My Country and won a Walkley Award for his coverage of indigenous affairs. In 2016 he was appointed to the Referendum Council for Indigenous recognition. On Identity is a meditation on hope and community, and Australia Day is his long-awaited follow up to Talking to My Country.
