Brittney Cooper (International)
Brittney Cooper is associate professor of women’s and gender studies and Africana Studies at Rutgers University. She is author of Beyond Respectability: The Intellectual Thought of Race Women and Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower.
Omar Sakr (Australian)
Omar Sakr is an Arab Australian poet from Western Sydney. His first book These Wild Houses was shortlisted for the Kenneth Slessor prize and the Judith Wright Calanthe award. His new collection is The Lost Arabs. Omar's poetry has been published in English, Arabic, and Spanish, in numerous publications including Overland, Griffith Review, Meanjin, Circulo de Poesia, The New Arab, the Asian American Writers Workshop, Wildness, and Tinderbox, among many others.
Zoe Norton Lodge (Australian)
Zoe Norton Lodge has worked with the Chaser team on ABC TV shows including The Hamster Wheel, The Chaser’s Media Circus and The Chaser’s Election Desk and she was a writer and presenter on The Checkout for six years. Zoe is co-creator of Story Club, and has written approximately four million short stories. Zoe’s writing is widely published in Australian anthologies, including Best Australian Stories. Her first book of short stories was Almost Sincerely. The first two titles in her new middle grade series Elizabella Meets Her Match, and Elizabella and the Great Tuckshop Takeover are out now.
Benjamin Law (Australian)
Benjamin Law is a journalist, columnist, TV screenwriter and author of The Family Law, Gaysia: Adventures in the Queer East and Quarterly Essay 67: Moral Panic 101. The Family Law is also an award-winning TV series for SBS which Benjamin created and co-wrote over three seasons.
Beverley Wang (Australian)
Beverley Wang is a journalist, speaker and co-host of ABC RN’s pop culture show, Stop Everything! Beverley’s journalism experience ranges from print and wire service reporting to radio producing, presenting and podcasting. She is a former Executive Producer of RN Drive, and the creator and host of the It’s Not A Race, a popular ABC podcast about race, racism and identity. Originally from Canada, she’s been based in Melbourne since 2009.
