Primary Schools Days takes place at Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 30 April, Sydney Town Hall on Friday 30 April and Monday 3 May, The Concourse Concert Hall, Chatswood on Tuesday 4 May, and Riverside Theatres on Wednesday 5 May. 

Secondary Schools Days takes place at the Seymour Centre on Friday 30 May, The Concourse Concert Hall, Chatswood on Monday 3 May and Riverside Theatres on Tuesday 4 May.

How do I make payment?

Instructions are included on the initial invoice sent to you once your booking was confirmed. Options include:

  • Pay by credit card – Please follow the instructions carefully.
  • Pay by EFT – Westpac | BSB 032 100 | Account No 143312. Please email EFT confirmation/remittance advice quoting your reference to ticketing@swf.org.au.
  • Pay by EdConnect – Please refer to your invoice for guidance.

Where do I find information about Covid-Safety? 
The School Days venues (Seymour Centre, Riverside Theatres, Sydney Town Hall, The Concourse Concert Hall, Chatswood and Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre) are registered Covid-safe venues.  Sydney Writers' Festival and the Schools Days venues are following NSW Government health guidelines. The safety procedures for School Days will be in line with NSW government health guidelines on the day of the event. How do I book my complimentary teacher ticket?
For every 20 student tickets purchased to School Days program, you are entitled to one complimentary teacher ticket. Please select these when you are booking via the online booking form or the hard copy form.

What year groups is School Days suitable for. 
Primary School Days is best suited for years 3–6. Secondary School Days is best suited for years 7–10. 

My students have special access requirements. Who can I speak to?
All Schools Days venues are wheelchair accessible. When you are filling out your booking form, please enter any access requirements. Alternatively, contact our customer service team on (02) 9256 4200 or email ticketing@swf.org.au to discuss your needs.

Can students buy books on the day?
Yes. Signed books by participating authors will be available for purchase at each event. 

Is the Sydney Writers' Festival going to photograph my students?

Sydney Writers' Festival employs the services of a professional photographer to record events throughout the Festival. These photos are for archival and marketing purposes. The purchase of a ticket grants implied permission for these photos to be used for the intended purposes. If you, or any students in your care, do not wish to be photographed, please inform the photographer at the venue or contact a Festival representative on the day.

Can I get a risk assessment document for visiting the Festival?
Yes, a risk assessment document is sent with your final receipt.  

What are the Payment terms and conditions? 
All booking requests are being processed in order of receipt, once processed you will be sent a tax invoice to confirm your reservation. A 50% deposit is required within ten (10) working days of the date of the invoice. Remaining balances must be paid in full by Friday 19 March 2021. Any booking change requests should be submitted in writing. Additional seats are subject to availability.

Bookings affected by changes to NSW Health guidelines that prevent excursions from taking place will be issued a full refund. All other refund requests will be carefully considered in light of current public health risks and/or changes to your school's internal policy. Refund requests must be made in writing to ticketing@swf.org.au.
