Each year, Sydney Writers’ Festival invites some of the world’s leading authors to bring their stories to life. From fiction to long-form journalism, these are the people that help us make sense of the world through their work. In 2019, Audible is bringing the transformative power of storytelling to you through a pop-up recording studio.
If you’ve always fancied yourself an outstanding orator, put your skills to the test at Audible’s free recording studio at Sydney Writers’ Festival, popping up at Carriageworks from 3–5 May between 11am and 4pm.
With literary classics like Pride and Prejudice, Frankenstein, Alice in Wonderland or Sherlock Holmes available for reading, test your talent as an Audible narrator and get a copy of your performance to playback later. Audible is also listening out for budding talent to feature in an upcoming Audible Originals production, for those contemplating a change of career!
“Sydney Writers’ Festival is driven by the finest writing and storytelling, and we’re excited to partner with Audible to give our Festival audiences an opportunity to bring their own voices to the event,” said Chrissy Sharp, Sydney Writers’ Festival CEO.
The Audible Studio will be popping up at Carriageworks from 3–5 May between 11.00am and 4.00pm.
