Sydney Writers’ Festival is a cornerstone of Sydney's cultural landscape, each year bringing together writers and readers from all around the world in an enriching celebration of the written word. This year’s Writers’ Festival – themed ‘Stories for the Future’ – saw over 300 writers participate in important conversations about our future and the role that stories play in shaping it. The Festival challenges our assumptions and broadens our perspectives, creating a space for lively debate, creative expression, and intellectual curiosity. It inspires us to think critically about the world around us, and to imagine new possibilities for the future.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the financial support of donors is essential to our ability to do this work. Our community of supporters directly enable us to engage the best Australian and international writers in important conversations, to run our beloved education programs, to program free events and to keep ticket prices low.
"When you write a book, you feel like you've sent a message in a bottle, and when you come [to Sydney Writers’ Festival] you realise it's washed up on so many people's shores."
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help us champion our writers, allowing them to unearth incredible stories and share them with us, shaping and defining who we are and who we can be as a society.
